Trump Says US Still Has 'One or Two Targets' to Take Care of in Iran
President Trump said the United States still has "one or two targets" to take care of in Iran, singling out the Pickaxe Mountain site, even as he said talks with Tehran are progressing.
President Trump said Saturday that the United States still has "one or two targets" to take care of in Iran, while insisting that negotiations with Tehran are moving forward.
Speaking to reporters, Trump named the Pickaxe Mountain site as a potential target and issued a warning directed at Iranian leadership. The remarks come amid continued tension over Iran's nuclear program and following earlier US strikes on Iranian facilities.
The remarks came after Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned the United States and Israel against any new offensive, ordering Iran's armed forces to prepare an immediate and "geographically unrestricted" response to any attack and to update target lists to include US and Israeli assets. Despite the exchange of warnings, Trump said talks with Iran are "going fine," though he questioned Tehran's reliability.
