Teva to stop Phase 2 trial of experimental MSA drug after interim review
Teva said it will stop its Phase 2 TOPAS-MSA study of emrusolmin after an interim analysis found a low chance of meeting the main goal. The company said no safety concerns were found.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries said Monday it will discontinue its Phase 2 TOPAS-MSA study of emrusolmin, also known as TEV-286, in adults with multiple system atrophy.
The company said a predefined interim futility analysis found the study had a low probability of meeting its primary endpoint. The decision followed a recommendation by an independent data monitoring committee. Teva said no safety concerns were identified.
Teva said the interim review was not a final efficacy analysis and does not mean it is abandoning the broader program. A full analysis of the study, including open-label data, will follow.
