Lakewood voters have until Sunday, November 1, to vote early in New Jersey's 2026 general election. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
Where to vote early
Lakewood's early-voting site is the Municipal Building, Court Room, at 231 3rd Street. Early voting runs through November 1, with hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. No appointment is needed.
Registered Ocean County voters may use any early-voting site in the county, not only the site in their own town.
Returning a mail-in ballot
The county's Lakewood mail-ballot drop box is at the OC Northern Resource Center, 225 4th Street. Completed mail-in ballots must be placed in a secure county drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Mail-in ballots cannot be returned to a polling place.
Voting on Election Day
Polls are open Tuesday, November 3, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election Day voters must go to their assigned polling place, which may be different from an early-voting site. Check the location on your sample ballot.
The full list of county early-voting sites and drop boxes is in the 2026 Ocean County voting guide. Additional instructions are available from the New Jersey Division of Elections.
