Iranian missiles and drones were launched from its territory toward Israel on Shabbos, heavily escalating tensions in the region.

This comes after Iranian state media stated that the attack was retaliation for an Israeli strike on an Iranian consular building in Syria earlier this month, which resulted in the deaths of seven terrorists, including two senior members of Iran’s IRGC Terror Group. Israeli Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari cautioned that it would take several hours for the drones to reach Israel, prompting heightened alertness in Israeli aerial defenses.

In support of Israel towards the Iranian aggression, the United States shoots down some of the Iranian missles and drones.
