Four passenger flights across Europe were hit by hoax bomb threats Tuesday, triggering airport closures, a diversion and emergency checks. All four planes landed safely, and authorities found no explosives, Euronews reported.

Two alerts involved flights bound for Warsaw. SAS Scandinavian Airlines flight SK751 from Copenhagen landed normally at Chopin Airport, where passengers got off and a runway was closed while the plane was searched.

A LOT Polish Airlines Boeing 737 MAX from London Heathrow was due at Chopin but diverted to Warsaw Modlin. Passengers were evacuated for security checks. Nothing was found, and Modlin later reopened and resumed normal operations.

In Spain, a Ryanair flight from Manchester to Murcia landed without incident after airport operator Aena activated an emergency protocol over a bomb alert. The alert was lifted after the Civil Guard checked the aircraft.

The fourth plane, a Wizz Air flight from Bergamo in northern Italy, was inspected after landing in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The incidents marked a third straight day of bomb scares affecting European passenger flights. A Wizz Air service from London Luton to Sofia diverted to Budapest on Monday, with Hungarian fighter jets taking off to help ensure its safe landing. On Sunday, an Austrian Airlines flight from Tel Aviv to Vienna was rerouted to Bulgaria after a threat. No explosives were found aboard that plane either.
