The National Weather Service office in Mount Holly issued a frost advisory at 12:40 p.m. Sunday for portions of southern New Jersey and the Philadelphia suburbs, warning that temperatures as low as 32 will result in frost formation overnight.

The advisory covers Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties in New Jersey, as well as Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery and Lower Bucks Counties in Pennsylvania. It is in effect from midnight tonight until 8 a.m. Monday.

The Weather Service said frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation and warned that sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

The advisory comes as a dry stretch continues across the region. According to nj.com, Monday will bring slightly milder conditions with patchy fog and patchy frost possible in outlying areas, before temperatures climb steadily through the week, reaching the low- to mid-70s by Wednesday, roughly 10 degrees above seasonal averages.
