Direct trains from Hadera and Netanya to Jerusalem and Ben Gurion start Nov. 14
Israel Railways and the Transportation Ministry said travelers from Hadera West, Netanya and Beit Yehoshua will be able to ride to Jerusalem and Ben Gurion Airport without changing trains. Hadera-Haifa riders will have to transfer.

Israel Railways and the Transportation Ministry announced that starting Saturday evening, Nov. 14, passengers from Hadera West, Netanya and Beit Yehoshua will be able to travel to Jerusalem and Ben Gurion Airport without changing trains.
The Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon-Tel Aviv-Herzliya line will be extended north to those three stations. Off-peak service will also be more frequent there, and electric trains will replace diesel trains on the affected services. Officials say about 140,000 daily seats will be added across the affected stations.
The overnight service runs within the railway's regular operating calendar. Trains remain suspended for Shabbat, from Friday afternoon until Saturday evening.
There is a downside for some riders. Beersheba-Karmiel trains will no longer stop at Hadera West, so passengers traveling between Hadera and Haifa will need to change at Binyamina, adding about 16 minutes to the trip.
