Comcast to Lay Off 119 Workers Across New Jersey, Including Monmouth and Ocean Counties

By Reuven1 min read · 3h ago

Comcast plans to lay off 119 employees across nine New Jersey counties, including Monmouth and Ocean, with the cuts listed to take effect January 27, 2027.

The company's filing appears in the New Jersey Labor Department's WARN notice archive. It lists affected locations in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Monmouth, Ocean and Union counties.

The filing does not identify the types of jobs being eliminated or provide a county-by-county breakdown of the 119 positions. The notice was filed in October.

The cuts come as Comcast restructures its cable television, broadband and wireless operations. The company has not publicly detailed how many jobs are at stake nationwide.

For New Jersey workers, the WARN entry establishes the planned timing and total number of affected positions, but it does not provide the individual locations or roles involved. The January date is the effective date listed in the state archive, not a statement that the cuts have already occurred.
