Cloud security company Upwind has raised $400 million in a Series C funding round that values the business at $3.8 billion, adding fresh capital as companies spend more to protect cloud systems and artificial-intelligence workloads.

Bessemer Venture Partners led the round, with Canapi Ventures and existing investors also taking part. The company announced the financing Wednesday and said the money will support product development and expansion of its sales efforts.

Founded in 2022, Upwind focuses on what is happening inside live cloud environments. Its platform helps security teams identify risks in running workloads, applications and AI systems, rather than relying only on periodic scans.

The company said its revenue has quadrupled in 2026. Its new valuation is up from $1.5 billion in a funding round in January, reflecting strong investor interest in cloud and AI security.

Upwind supports cloud environments including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. CEO and co-founder Amiram Shachar leads the company as businesses face a growing mix of security threats and new risks from AI-powered tools.
