Clark raises $11M seed round to put AI 'Clerks' to work on audits at CPA firms
Clark, which builds AI for audit and assurance work, said it raised an $11 million seed round and launched AI "Clerks" for CPA firms, bringing total funding to $16 million.

Clark, a New York company that builds AI for audit and assurance work, said Monday it raised an $11 million seed round and launched "Clerks," AI employees that perform audit tasks for CPA firms.
The round was led by Touring Capital, with returning investors Marathon Management Partners, Rerail and Sofeon Ventures taking part. Together with a $5 million round in September 2025, Clark's total funding is now $16 million.
According to the company, each Clerk is assigned to an audit engagement the way a staff auditor would be. It reviews documents, performs tests and prepares workpapers, and when information is missing it requests it from the client and picks the work back up when it arrives. Clark says licensed CPAs make the professional judgments, review the work and sign the opinion.
Clark says more than 35 CPA firms already use its software on audits, and it offers firms a 100% accuracy guarantee and a peer review guarantee. Those performance claims come from the company and were not independently verified.
"Our Clerks don't sleep," founder and CEO Enes Witwit said in the announcement, adding that the company is building toward fully autonomous audit employees.
Clark plans to use the funding to expand its product, engineering and sales teams and bring Clerks to more firms and types of engagements.
