Chaveirim of Central Jersey: When You Change Your Clock, Remember to Change the Battery
Clocks fall back one hour at 2 AM on Sunday, November 1. Chaveirim of Central Jersey reminds residents: when you change your clock, remember to change the battery.
With clocks set to fall back one hour at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 1, as daylight saving time comes to an end, Chaveirim of Central Jersey is reminding residents: when you change your clock, remember to change the battery.
Smoke alarms with replaceable batteries should get fresh ones - use the battery type listed by the manufacturer on the back of the alarm. Alarms with sealed 10-year batteries never need a battery change, but if one chirps, replace the entire alarm right away. Either way, press the test button, and check the manufacture date on the back: every smoke alarm must be replaced 10 years after it was made.
