Barnes & Noble Opens Four New Bookstores Today in New York, Virginia, California and Texas

Barnes & Noble opened four new bookstores Wednesday, November 4, in Middletown, New York; Alexandria, Virginia; Cupertino, California; and Fort Worth, Texas, as the bookseller continues expanding its U.S. store network.
The New York store is at the Galleria at Crystal Run, in a space previously occupied by Borders Books & Music. The approximately 20,000-square-foot location includes a Barnes & Noble Cafe.
In Alexandria, the new store is at 4515 Duke Street in the Shoppes at Foxchase. The roughly 13,000-square-foot location is the chain's second bookstore in the city.
The Cupertino store is at 20740 Stevens Creek Boulevard in the Cupertino Crossroads shopping center. It occupies about 18,000 square feet and includes a Barnes & Noble Cafe.
In Fort Worth, the new store is at 2329 Porter Creek Drive in Presidio Junction. The roughly 11,000-square-foot bookstore does not include a cafe. Another Fort Worth location at Montgomery Plaza is also expected to open this month.
The four openings are part of Barnes & Noble's plan to open about 60 new stores in 2026. Its Texas expansion includes eight new stores planned this year, compared with six openings in 2025 and five in 2024.
