Amazon has rolled out a new grocery delivery subscription service, designed to provide significant savings for Prime members and customers with a registered EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) card. This new service offers unlimited grocery deliveries on orders over $35 from Whole Foods Market, Amazon Fresh, and various local grocery and specialty retailers. For Prime members, the subscription is available at $9.99 per month, while EBT cardholders can subscribe for just $4.99 per month.
The subscription is structured to pay for itself with as little as one delivery order per month, making it a cost-effective solution for frequent shoppers. This benefit is now available in over 3,500 cities and towns across the United States, ensuring wide access to affordable grocery deliveries.
In response to strong customer demand and positive feedback since the service’s launch, Amazon has also introduced an annual plan for Prime members. For $99.99 per year, Prime members can enjoy even greater savings, equivalent to receiving two months free compared to the monthly plan. This annual option offers the same unlimited grocery delivery benefits, providing customers the flexibility to choose the plan that best fits their needs and budget.
Amazon has also expanded its discounted $4.99 monthly grocery delivery subscription to include all Prime Access members, regardless of their form of qualifying government assistance. Prime Access, Amazon’s discounted membership program for government assistance recipients, allows eligible customers to access all the benefits of a regular Prime membership at half the cost. With this expansion, even more households can take advantage of the savings and convenience offered by Amazon’s grocery delivery service.
Subscribers can shop a wide range of national name brands, as well as organic and natural foods, with deliveries made directly to their doorsteps. The service includes one-hour delivery windows at no extra cost, where available, unlimited free 30-minute pickup on orders of any size, and priority access to Recurring Reservations for weekly grocery orders.
To allow potential subscribers to experience the service, Amazon offers a free 30-day trial. This trial provides an opportunity for customers to explore the convenience and savings of the grocery delivery subscription, which includes access to nearly 100,000 grocery items.
In addition to grocery delivery, Prime members continue to enjoy exclusive savings at Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market stores, along with all the other benefits that come with Prime membership, such as fast, free delivery and a wide range of entertainment options. Eligible Prime members can also earn unlimited 5% back on purchases made with their Prime Visa when shopping online at Amazon.com or in-store at Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market.
Amazon remains committed to creating a best-in-class grocery shopping experience, both in-store and online. Through its portfolio of stores and partnerships with grocery and specialty retailers, Amazon provides a broad selection of products and services, all while maintaining its core values of price, selection, and convenience.
