Today, on the 24th of Kislev, is the Yahrtzeit of Rabbi Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman (1914-2017).
He was the Rosh Yeshiva of Ponivez Letzerim and later also founded Yeshiva Orchos Torah. He became the gadol Hador after the petira of Rav Elyashiv ZT”L in 2012 and was the head of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah. He was known for his extreme Tzidkus and being able to connect and understand his talmidim and all those who sought his advice and brachos. He held his ground as the manhig of Klal Yisroel even with fierce opposition. He was mechaber seforim Ayeles Hashachar on Shas and Chumash.
