Remembering Harav Shmuel Yehudah Levin on His Yahrtzeit

Today, on the 18th of Tammuz, is the 2nd Yahrtzeit of Rabbi Shmuel Yehudah Levin (1959-2022), He was the Rosh Yeshiva of Telshe-Chicago.

Rav Shmuel Yehudah was a magid shiur in Telshe Yeshiva in Chicago for many years, and was beloved to his talmidim not only for his shiurim, but also for being a dugmah, a role model for what a talmid chacham is meant to be. His sterling middos and caring he showed his talmidim drew them close, with many seeking his advice for every step of their present and future lives.

His great grandfather was Harav Chatzkel Levenshtein, zt”l, the legendary Mashgiach of Kletzsk, Mir and Ponovezh.
