Tachlis Halacha: Raw vs. Cooked Eggs; Understanding the Hechsher Requirement

Raw eggs do not require a hechsher, but cooked eggs do, even if they are hard-boiled.

This is because if a non-Jew cooks the eggs, it falls under the prohibition of bishul akum, which forbids food cooked by non-Jews.
