In response to mounting apprehensions regarding potential Iranian retaliation following an Israeli strike, the United States has taken precautionary measures by limiting the movements of its diplomats within Israel.
The US embassy disclosed on Thursday that personnel, along with their families, are now restricted from undertaking personal travel beyond designated areas encompassing Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Beersheeva until further notice.
This decision, rooted in an “abundance of caution,” underscores the escalating tensions in the region and the perceived threats to diplomatic security.
The move comes amidst heightened geopolitical tensions and concerns over possible repercussions following recent actions in the area.
