Israeli fighter jets, attack helicopters, and drones struck over 30 targets in Gaza over the past day, providing crucial support for ground forces active in the region. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the targets included weapon depots, buildings used by militant groups, tunnel shafts, and various other infrastructures.
These strikes align with ongoing battles in southern Gaza’s Rafah, Gaza City’s Shejaiya, and the Netzarim Corridor in the central part of the Strip. In Rafah, troops from the Nahal Brigade ambushed and eliminated several gunmen in a vehicle approaching an operational area.
In Shejaiya, the 7th Armored Brigade discovered and secured numerous weapons and military equipment belonging to terror groups. Meanwhile, in the Netzarim Corridor, the 99th Division engaged in close-quarters combat, eliminating multiple gunmen and uncovering additional weapons and military gear.
Two Israeli soldiers were killed during fighting in the central Gaza Strip last night. They have been identified as Master Sgt. (res.) Nadav Elchanan Knoller, 30, and Maj. (res.) Eyal Avnion, 25, both members of the 8th Reserve Armored Brigade’s 121st Battalion. Another reservist from the same battalion was seriously wounded. Separately, a soldier from the 401st Armored Brigade’s 52nd Battalion was seriously wounded by anti-tank fire in Rafah.
