United Airlines to Resume Tel Aviv Flights, Expanding to Double-Daily Service

United Airlines has announced it will restart daily flights between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) beginning March 15, marking its return to Israel after suspending service due to regional conflicts. The airline will operate the route using its Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, the largest aircraft in the 787 family.

In addition to resuming daily service, United plans to expand its operations further by adding a second daily flight between Newark and Tel Aviv starting March 29. The airline emphasized its long-standing commitment to serving Tel Aviv and highlighted that this move makes it the first U.S. carrier to reinstate flights to the Israeli city. United also offers connections to Tel Aviv through its codeshare agreements with Lufthansa Group airlines, which resumed flights to Israel earlier this month.

The airline will continue evaluating opportunities to add more flights based on demand, restoring its once-extensive schedule that included service from Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., before the suspension in October 2023.
