A powerful school choice bill that could provide tuition scholarships for families across the country is gaining strong support in Congress. The Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA) was recently reintroduced as a $10 billion annual program, doubling its previous funding level.

This legislation would offer a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit to individuals and businesses that contribute to Scholarship Granting Organizations, which in turn would provide scholarships to help cover private school tuition and other educational expenses.

With tuition costs being a major challenge for many families—especially in faith-based communities—this bill could provide significant financial relief. Eligibility for scholarships would extend to families earning up to 300% of their area’s median income
