The NYPD honored Rabbi Abe Friedman yesterday for his 20 years of service as a chaplain, celebrating his key role in connecting the community with the department.
“It’s a great honor to be a chaplain and receive this award. Partnering with the community is crucial for a safe and thriving city,” said Friedman.
He added, “I’m thankful to Mayor Eric Adams and Deputy Commissioner for their presence and for recognizing officers statewide for their dedication. May God keep you all safe.”
Congratulations to all the awardees for their commitment to enhancing and transforming the NYPD.
