On Sunday, Assemblyman Avi Schnall held an ANCHOR filing assistance event to help District 30 residents navigate the property tax rebate program and ensure they receive the rebates they are eligible for. The event, held at CHEMED in Lakewood, saw hundreds of residents turning out to take advantage of the hands-on support offered.
Assemblyman Schnall and his staff were joined by experts from the New Jersey Department of Taxation to provide personalized assistance with the ANCHOR filing process, answering questions and helping residents submit their applications accurately and on time.
The ANCHOR program, which offers property tax relief to homeowners and renters, plays a crucial role in reducing the financial burden on New Jersey residents, making events like these essential for community engagement and support.
“It was inspiring to see so many of our community members taking advantage of this opportunity to get the support they deserve,” said Assemblyman Schnall. “We know that the application process for tax relief can sometimes feel daunting, and that’s why we brought together our team and experts to help residents secure the assistance they need. No one should miss out on financial support because of paperwork challenges.”
Residents who attended expressed gratitude for the guidance and support they received, with many noting that the expertise on hand made a significant difference in their understanding of the ANCHOR program.
For those who were unable to attend, Assemblyman Schnall’s office is available to provide additional information on the ANCHOR program and other state resources. Residents are encouraged to contact the office for further support.
