Pharma Giant Addresses Antisemitic Allegations Adds Israel to Middle East Markets List

Johnson & Johnson has taken steps to include Israel in its directory of global markets on its Customer Connect website after facing questions regarding the absence of the Jewish state while “Palestine” was listed.

Initially, the website’s “Middle East” section featured 20 markets, including Iran, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, but did not include Israel. However, a spokesperson clarified that the tool is not utilized for all markets, and customers in regions not listed, such as Israel, employ a different ordering method for Johnson & Johnson products.

Responding to inquiries and feedback, Johnson & Johnson promptly updated its website to incorporate Israel, aiming to clarify the ordering process for customers in this market.

The company, among many others, condemned the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel in October and reiterated its stance against antisemitism. Additionally, Johnson & Johnson donated $2 million for humanitarian relief efforts following the attack.

Notably, Johnson & Johnson has been actively present in Israel since 1996, operating four sub-companies and employing over 1,000 individuals in alignment with the company’s values.
