Neuralink’s Blindsight device promises to restore sight even to those who have lost both eyes and their optic nerve. If the visual cortex is still functional, it can provide vision to people who have been blind since birth.

Initially, the vision will be low resolution, similar to Atari graphics, but with time, it could surpass natural vision. The device has the potential to enable users to see in wavelengths like infrared, ultraviolet, and radar, much like Geordi La Forge from Star Trek.
