Judge Delays Trump’s Sentencing Following Supreme Court Immunity Ruling

The judge in Donald Trump’s hush money trial has delayed the sentencing hearing until at least September 18, after Trump’s lawyers argued that a recent Supreme Court immunity ruling warrants a new trial.

The hearing was initially set for July 11, but the delay ensures Trump will not be sentenced until after the Republican National Convention, where he is expected to be formally nominated for president.
