At the levaya, it was announced that the Rebbe’s two oldest sons will take over his position as Kossover Rebbe. Harav Yakov Shamshon, the eldest son, will serve as Kossover Rebbe in Boro Park, while Harav Menachem Mendel Duvid, the second son, will serve as Kossover Rebbe in Eretz Yisroel.
In an interesting turn of events, the eldest son, Harav Yakov Shamshon, asked his younger brother, Harav Menachem Mendel Duvid, to relocate from Eretz Yisroel and take over his position as Kossover Rebbe.

He was niftar at the age of 66 over Shabbos after lengthy illness.
The Levaya is scheduled to take place at 11AM at Kosov 1355 55th St in Boro Park. There will be a levaya at Viznitz in Monsey with the Kevura in Viznitz Bais Hachaim at approximately 12:45PM. There will be no hespedim at either levaya.
