Four Hostages Rescued in Gaza After 246 Days of Captivity

In a daring operation dubbed “Operation Arnon,” four hostages held in Gaza for eight months have been successfully rescued. The hostages, including 25-year-old Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27), and Shlomi Ziv (40), were freed from two separate locations in Nuseirat, central Gaza.

All are reported to be in good medical condition and have been transferred to Sheba Tel-HaShomer Medical Center for further evaluations.

The rescue mission was renamed in honor of Chief Inspector Arnon Zamora, who was fatally wounded during the raid. Zamora, 36, died after being taken to a hospital in Israel. He is survived by his wife and two children.

The operation involved coordinated efforts by the IDF, ISA, and Israel Police. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi commended the Yamam counter-terrorism unit for their “brave and determined action” in executing the rescue.

The return of the hostages marks a significant achievement and reinforces the ongoing commitment to bring all captives home.
