In a major development, the FBI raided the homes of three high-ranking officials in New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ administration, seizing electronic devices as part of a growing federal investigation.
First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks III, and advisor Timothy Pearson were among those whose homes were searched. This follows a previous raid targeting Adams’ phones and iPad last year.
Although the FBI has not disclosed specific details about the investigation, Mayor Adams, a former police officer, emphasized that neither he nor his staff have been identified as targets and that his administration will fully comply with all inquiries.
The raids come at a time when Adams is facing growing legal scrutiny, though he expressed confidence in allowing the investigation to run its course without interference.
