Cyber Monday Breaks Records with $13.3 Billion in Sales as Mobile Shopping Surges

Mobile devices drove 57% of the total sales, reflecting the growing trend of shopping on smartphones. Over the five-day Thanksgiving weekend, consumers spent $41.1 billion, showcasing strong growth despite inflation concerns.

Popular items included toys like Lego and Elf on the Shelf, as well as consumer electronics such as gaming consoles and smartwatches. Retailers offered steep discounts, with deals on apparel, TVs, and computers contributing to the shopping spree.

Holiday spending from November 1 through December 31 is expected to exceed $240 billion, an 8.4% rise over last year.
