BMW and Jaguar Used Banned China Parts, US Probe Finds

Thousands of BMW Mini Coopers and Jaguar Land Rover vehicles have been imported into the US with parts from Sichuan Jingweida Technology Group (JWD), a Chinese firm banned over forced labor concerns.

A US congressional report reveals these automakers, along with Volkswagen, used components from JWD despite it being on a list of companies implicated in human rights abuses in Xinjiang.

BMW stated it has taken steps to halt the importation of affected products, while Jaguar Land Rover is destroying any remaining stock. VW has yet to comment.
