Air Haifa, Israel’s newest airline, is poised to begin operations soon, promising competitive rates, safety, and comfort. Based in Haifa, the airline’s first ATR 72-600 aircraft will arrive from France at the end of July, with plans to acquire two more identical planes.
Despite the ongoing war with Hezbollah, Air Haifa aims to rejuvenate northern Israel’s economy by creating new job opportunities. CEO Gonen Usishkin expressed pride in being the first commercial airline to operate from Haifa International Airport.
Air Haifa will start selling tickets after completing the licensing process with the Civil Aviation Authority, expected by September. The airline will offer flights to Eilat and various Mediterranean destinations, improving accessibility for the 3 million residents in northern Israel.
The airline’s convenience is highlighted by its promise of quick boarding times from Haifa International Airport. Air Haifa, founded in 2023 by entrepreneurs including Nir Zuk and Lior Yavor, alongside former El Al executives, hopes to positively impact tourism in the region.
