מַה לְּךָ נִרְדָּם
How can you sleep
קוּם
Arise and stand tall
קְרָא בְּתַחֲנוּנִים
And call out in prayer to Hashem
שְׁפֹךְ שִׂיחָה
Let your words pour forth
דְּרֹשׁ סְלִיחָה
Seek complete wholehearted forgiveness
מֵאֲדוֹן הָאֲדוֹנִים
From the Master of all masters.
רְחַץ וּטְהַר
Purify yourself physically and spiritually
וְאַל תְּאַחַר
Without delay

לְשִׁמְךָ יוֹדְעֵי

To us, Am Yisroel, Your faithful ones.
לְךָ אֲדֹנָי הַצְּדָקָה
To You Hashem is true Generosity and Righteousness
וְלָנוּ בֹּשֶׁת הַפָּנִים
To us there is shame, when we are far from You
עֲמֹד כְּגֶבֶר וְהִתְגַּבֵּר
Let us overcome and stand before You with courage
לְהִתְוַדּוֹת עַל חֲטָאִים
And tell you all we have done wrong.
יָהּ אֵל דְּרֹש בְּכֹבֶד רֹאש
The Ever-present All-mighty one we shall seek out, with the greatest respect.
לְכַפֵּר עַל פְּשָׁעִים
To forgive all our wrongs
כִּי לְעוֹלָם לֹא נֶעְלָם מִמֶּנּוּ נִפְלָאִים
For nothing is ever hidden from Him. All is know to Him.
וְכָל מַאֲמָר אֲשֶׁר יֵאָמַר לְפָנָיו הֵם נִקְרָאִים
All the words that we speak, are spoken before Him
הַמְרַחֵם
He is truly merciful
הוּא יְרַחֵם עָלֵינוּ כְּרַחֵם אָב עַל בָּנִים
He will have mercy upon us like a father to his children.
לְךָ אֲדֹנָי הַצְּדָקָה
