LEGOLAND New York Welcomes New ‘Model Builder’

LEGOLAND New York has appointed Jack Mohan as its new “Model Builder,” following a rigorous selection process. The search began with a job listing posted earlier this summer and culminated in a two-round LEGO-building competition, where Mohan competed against other skilled builders to secure the position.

Mohan, a Port Jervis resident, impressed judges with his creativity and technical skills in building timed LEGO models during competitions held at LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey and LEGOLAND New York. In his new role, he will help design, construct, and install over 15,000 intricate LEGO models, composed of more than 30 million bricks.

Erick Spader, Model Shop Manager at LEGOLAND New York, highlighted Mohan’s blend of professional building skills and playful spirit as a perfect fit for the park’s culture. Mohan, a lifelong LEGO enthusiast, expressed excitement about turning his passion into a career.

Located in Goshen, New York, LEGOLAND New York has been open for three years and features seven themed areas and a 250-room hotel. Managed by Merlin Entertainments, the park remains a top destination for LEGO fans of all ages.
