The song “Nachamu Nachamu” is בעזהשי”ת the first release from our new project, Yiddish Nachas 5. These sacred words of comfort spoken by הקב”ה through ישעיהו הנביא have resonated with me for many years. Each year, after the fast of Tisha B’av and at the start of the שבע דנחמתא, I would sit at the piano, trying to capture the beauty of these words in music, but I struggled to find the right expression. Recently, with great סייעתא דשמיא, inspiration struck, and the melody began to flow naturally with the words.
What Klal Yisroel has endured lately defies understanding and seems to signal the approaching End of Times, as foretold. The final Mishna in מסכת סוטה has come to life, and it feels like the Advent of Bias Hamishiach is upon us. This time, a deep sense of calm and comfort washed over me, as if I had finally found what I was searching for. I shared the melody with my talented partner in Yiddish Nachas, Moishi Kraus, who immediately recognized its potential, saying, “The kids will sound angelic on this melody!”
