As we approach Tisha B’Av during these tumultuous times, we spoke to members of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah for guidance on properly observing and mourning on this important day.
The gedolim were asked: We are living in perhaps unprecedented times, with Klal Yisroel and Eretz Yisroel facing challenges seemingly all around us. If, chas v’shalom, this year’s Tisha B’Av must once again be observed as a solemn taanis, what is the proper hashkafah for a Yid to have while doing so? And how do we balance and combine the feelings of mourning, hope, and faith all at once?
