Today, on the 23rd of Tammuz, is the Yahrtzeit of Rabbi Moshe Cordovero, the Ramak (1522-1570).

He was a Talmid of R’ Shlomo Alkabetz & R’ Yosef Karo. Founded a Yeshiva in Tzfas where the Arizal & R’Chaim Vital were among his Talmidim.
