Today, on the 14th of Sivan, is the Yahrtzeit of Rabbi Chaim Itzkovitch ZTL, also known as Reb Chaim Volozhiner (1749-1821).

The Volozhin Yeshiva was established in 1803.

He was a Talmid of the Gra, and was mechaber the seforim Nefesh Hachaim and Ruach Chaim.
