Baruch Dayan Ha’emes, we regret to inform you of the Petirah of Rav Elazar Mayer Teitz ZT”L, the esteemed mora d’asra of Elizabeth, New Jersey, who was niftar at the age of 89.

A true ben Torah and marbitz Torah, Rav Teitz carried the legacy of his father, Rav Pinchas Mordechai Teitz ZT”L, leading the kehillah with wisdom and dedication.

A brilliant talmid chochom and a beloved rebbi, he was mashlim Shas numerous times and was marbeh Torah through his Daf Yomi shiurim.

One of the many projects he undertook for the kehillah was the establishment of Yeshivas Beer Yitzchak, which continues to thrive under the leadership of Rabbi Avraham Shulman Shlit”a.
