Today, on the 23rd of Teves, is the Yahrtzeit of Rabbi Mordechai Gifter (1915-2001).

Rosh Yeshiva Telshe, Cleveland & one of the leaders of American Jewry in in the late 20th Century. He also was one of the founders of Telz Yeshiva in Kiryat Telz-Stone near Yerushalayim.
