The FDA has banned Red Dye 3, a synthetic food additive linked to Cancer in lab animals, from foods, dietary supplements, and ingested medications.

Manufacturers must comply by 2027 for food products and 2028 for medications, ending a decades-long debate over the dye’s safety.
