Over 350 Families Helped: Assemblyman Schnall’s Office Tackles ANCHOR Program Challenges

Over the past month, Assemblyman Avi Schnall and his dedicated staff have successfully assisted more than 350 families in resolving issues related to New Jersey’s ANCHOR real estate tax rebate program.

In early November, Assemblyman Schnall, alongside experts from the New Jersey Department of Taxation, held a highly successful event at CHEMED to provide personalized assistance to residents experiencing difficulties with the ANCHOR program. The event drew a large turnout and led to a surge of follow-up calls to Asm. Schnall’s office, as more constituents sought help in navigating the program’s complexities.

“Ensuring that every family gets the rebates they deserve is a commitment I take very seriously,” said Assemblyman Schnall. “This program is critical for many hardworking families, and I’m grateful we could step in to make a real difference.”

Thanks to the tireless work of Asm. Schnall and his team, hundreds of eligible residents who were previously excluded or receiving only partial rebates are now enjoying the full benefits of the ANCHOR program.

“Some families were not receiving any rebate at all, while others were getting only partial payments. With persistence and determination, we’ve been able to turn that around. It’s deeply gratifying to see the relief this brings to so many,” Schnall added.

“I want to especially thank Mrs. Horowitz, our Director of Constituent Services, for her devoted, relentless efforts to assist every person who has reached out to our office. She has worked tirelessly, following up on each case until it was resolved, and she continues to serve with deep dedication. Her work is nothing short of extraordinary,” Schnall added.

The Assemblyman stresses that his office will continue to stand by constituents in need. “Our work doesn’t stop here. My team and I remain committed to serving as an advocate and a resource for families facing challenges. If you are eligible for the ANCHOR program and need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.”
