Today, on the 2nd of Kislev, is the Yahrtzeits of Rav Aharon Kotler (1892-1962) and Rav Nosson Meir Wachtfogel (1910-98).

Rav Aharon Kotler ZT”L was the Founder & Rosh Yeshiva of Beis Medrish Govoha (BMG) in Lakewood, NJ. Took over Torah U’Mesorah after the petira of Reb Shraga Feivel Mendelowitz. He also headed Agudas Yisrael’s Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah.

Rav Nosson Meir Wachtfogel ZT”L was The Lakewood Mashgiach. After learning in Europe in the Mirer Yeshiva and in Kaminetz (under Rsb Baruch Ber Lebowitz), in 1941 he joined R’ Aharon Kotler to develop the Lakewood Yeshiva.
