Reb Shlomo: The Singing Rebbe’leh Through Love and Peace

Reb Shlomo or Reb Shloime’leh, was the Rebbe’leh of Jewish music who touched countless souls with his music and spirituality. He was born in Berlin on January 14, 1925 and Niftar on the 16th of Cheshvan.

He learned by the great Harav Aharon Kotler Zt”l before going on a long life journey to bring Yidden closer to Hashem. He blended Chassidishe and Yekke Yiddishkeit, warmth, and music to create a unique connection with his followers.

While his musical talents made him the foremost Jewish frum songwriter of the 20th century, his legacy is also marked by controversy of his lifestyle choices and yet his songs and niggunim are sung by everyone across the spectrum until today!

Reb Shlomo’s influence endures, as is evident by the Nussach he created and the many “Carlebach minyanim” worldwide that connect all types of Yidden!
