Lakewood officials recently celebrated the grand opening of a new Krispy Kreme, the first and only location in Central and South Jersey, situated in the Town and Country Shopping Center off Route 70 and Shorrock Street.
Customers lined up to enjoy fresh donuts while officials, including Mayor Ray Coles, toured the state-of-the-art kitchen with franchise owner Karl Halligan. With kosher certification by Rabbi Shloima Isaacson of KOA Kosher Supervision, the donuts are classified as cholov stam.
Mayor Coles presented an official proclamation at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, expressing enthusiasm for the new addition to Lakewood and its potential role in serving businesses across Monmouth and Ocean County.
