Tachlis Halacha: Having Proper Concentration When Making a Bracha

By Rabbi Tzvi Yaakov Stein

Proper Concentration During a Bracha is to Avoid all Distractions

When making a bracha, we must ensure we are not occupied with anything else. This means we shouldn’t be serving or pouring food or drinks, signaling with our hands, etc. We should simply focus on understanding and pronouncing the words correctly, without rushing. (Siman 143:12)
