Russia is demanding an unprecedented $20 decillion (2 undecillion rubles) from Google for not lifting blocks on pro-Russian YouTube channels.
The fine, which doubles weekly, has reached a figure so massive it dwarfs the world economy and Google’s market value of $2 trillion.
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Google reduced its presence in the country, though some services like YouTube and Search remain accessible.
The Kremlin described the penalty as symbolic, pushing back against Google’s restrictions on Russian broadcasters.
